Maximising shareholder value is a "non-negotiable" management responsibility. Finsight can help firms improve their shareholder value. Finsight offers differentiated, value-added and result-oriented customized Investor Relation plan for each client and enables them to enhance their  institutional ownership and shareholder value.

Finsight was promoted in response to the "one-size-fits-all" approach to Investor Relations (IR) as offered and practiced by most IR service-providers in India. Most IR players mirror more of courier-services and event managers, and at best, mass-media managers with little or no concept of shareholder value.

Finsight offers relevant input which impacts shareholder value, and then communicates it in the way the market understands. We offer an effective, customised approach to initiating and strengthening our clients' relationship with capital market participants- Institutional Investors, Analysts, Portfolio Managers, HNIs or others.

Management-Market Gap- An eternal gap?

Everyday, we come across managements that believe Investors either don't care about or understand their business and hence unfairly value their business. Other times, managements get exasperated as macroeconomic conditions seem to prevail over investment decisions and individual stories get lost. A good Investor Relation management can help them attract the right investor attention, but also decouple their stock performance from the overarching macroeconomics. However, at the risk of antagonising the very same decision-makers whom we seek to work with, a lot of them lack interest and/or understanding of Investor Relations and consider it alien to their responsibility. It is, therefore, relegated down their priority list. However, a substantial body of research suggests that companies that provide quality, in-depth and more frequent disclosure enjoy a lower cost of capital, higher stock value and reduced volatility. We have seen firms take a band-aid approach with Investor Relations just before they need capital, resulting in both higher stake dilution as well as lost opportunity to attract quality investors.

Account Managers versus Advisors

We believe most managements today engage with IR firms, which are not truly IR firms. Most corporates today deal with "account managers" and NOT "advisors".

These account managers:

  • have no experience of engaging ever with the analysts and the fund managers

  • have very little expertise in analysing  investments

  • do not provide any capital market related advisory input,

  • do not have enough intelligence on markets and peers

Finsight's Advisory Approach

Clear objective-driven approach.

  • improving shareholder value

  • widening institutional investor base, and

  • coverage by the sell-side

Customised IR plans suiting the client's IR profile. We do not believe in one-size-fits-all and thus working on templates.

Differentiated deliverables. We go far beyond the usual arrangement of Analyst Meets, Conference calls and sending out communication to the market community. We prepare the management internally by creating the right communication, marketing tools and then proactively engaging with the market participants to propagate the right story.

Finsight- Delivering an effective, customised IR plan

Finsight designs a comprehensive plan suited to each client's characteristics, but with the same broader objective of improving shareholder value.
